We are back in DC for the week and boy oh boy is it windy and rainy here. The trees are blowing all over the place and the wind is zipping around the windows. Not to be a pansy here, but while Steven's showering and it's just me and KJ in downstairs since Gage is asleep... the wind sounds eerily likes ghosts (or ghost-es as Gage says).
We still have power and no damage to the house or anything else, thank heavens. But we're sending prayers up north and down south, too, for those who aren't so lucky.
On a happier note, the storm should be cleared up by Halloween (or so they say) and we are so excited for Gage to trick-or-treat for real this year.
He has three costumes (both of his grandmas have been spoiling him like crazy) and since we want to do a family costume theme this year, we have the following combinations according to Gage's costumes:
Gage: Captain America
Steven: The Hulk
Brooke: The Black Widow
Kjel: Thor (just put her in a monochromatic outfit and give her a toy gavel to chew on)
Brooke: Aunt May
Kjel: Fat pumpkin fairy (because she has an adorable pumpkin costume given to her by... you guessed it. Grandma).
I'm thinking we'll go with option three, but you never know.
I'm kind of sad we didn't think of anything as witty as last year. My entire family (minus my brother and his cute family) were "Identity Theft" (11 Dwight Shrutes from The Office).

Are you dressing up? Gage has been asking everyone he sees, "What's your toss-toom for how-ween? You have to have one for trick-or-treat."
