change

so at the end of this month we're taking a semester off and moving to virginia until december. we're definitely not "idaho people" so we're very excited to get the heck out of here, but at the same time, today as i was packing, i realized that there are a few things i'm really going to miss about rexburg.

namely:

1. our little townhouse. i love it. i love how it's decorated, i love our furniture, i love the memories we've made here, and even though we'll only be away from it for a couple months, i feel like i'm leaving behind a member of my family!

2. rexburg in the fall. i don't think i've ever been in such a beautiful place in autumn - all of the leaves turn red and gold, and the air is perfectly brisk, perfect for hot chocolate and a walk through the park.

3. i never thought i'd say this...but.... the sweets. so rexburg definitely isn't the most culturally-aware town, thus the restaurant choices are limited to chicken wings or 3 pound hamburgers. however. there is an amazing little cupcake place, some delicious frozen yogurt, and lolliecakes. goodness, the lollicakes. my friend hilary runs a cute little farmers market shop each friday and also caters all sorts of events - weddings, birthdays, baby showers, with these adorable, yummy treats. yummo!

oh rexburg, fickle-weathered, ultra-republican rexburg, you've wriggled your way into a corner of my heart.

what do you love about where you live?

as for where i live i adore the public library system [one of the best in the country], the gorgeous scenery, the authentic + hardworking people, and the great concerts that come to town.
