and the mome raths outgrabe

i'm in the process of memorizing lewis carroll's 'jabberwocky', and cannot get the last line out of my head, hence the title of this post. disclaimer: i'm not memorizing it due to the current alice in wonderland craze... it's just the next one in my book. word.

maybe i'm confused, but i always pictured wonderland as looking more like this... foggy, green, with lakes and mountains and a little touch of mystical, just like sitka.

where is your wonderland?

  2. Awwww! My wonderland would have to be our "fairy patch" from years and years ago ...but instead of 5'7" I'd have to be a mere 8" tall for it to be the wonderland I used to imagine!

My wonderland would be Waterton Lakes in Canada. Sort of like yours...lakes & mountains & definitely bring on the morning fog. Oh, & a big deck with a porch swing & huge comfy blankets.

I'm super impressed that you are memorizing that poem...I haven't memorized anything since college, but you've inspired me to get started again.

  13. Somewhere with lots of trees and green. And mountains wouldn't hurt either... And definitely clear skies. :)

  14. That's funny, Brook. That is how I imagined Wonderland!?! But I actually would pick somewhere in Pennsilvania. That is my new obbsesion(jk). Plus, my dad is ALWAYS trying to convince my mom for us to move there. So, NOT HELPING! Yea, but I ♥ PENSILVANIA
